^Lot 2036 CLASSIC TYPE B COMMERCIAL MAUSER LARGE CALIBER

SPORTING RIFLE. Cal. 10.75x68. S# 105079. Standard configuration with 24" barrel holding sleeved on base with one standing, two folding leaf rear sight, banded on sling eye and long front ramp holding gold bead. Caliber and S# are in usual place on left rear of barrel. Standard length large ring model 98 commercial Mauser action has all correctly placed markings and matching numbers. Double stage trigger is retained and bottom metal with hinged floorplate has release button in trigger guard bow. Original capped pistol grip stock measures 14-1/2" over replaced checkered buttplate and features usual Mauser style right hand cheekpiece, grip checkering and schnabled uncheckered forend. Rifle is fitted with Trader Keith leather and cotton web sling. CONDITION: very fine as completely refinished. Metal with traditional rust blue on barrel and action along with correct temper blue accents. Stock is nicely refinished; checkering is re-cut. Bore is fine with light wear. Mechanically good.
